About us

Sew For Kids is a charity group that welcomes sewers of all skill levels to use their talents to sew seasonally appropriate clothing and other needed items for  children ages 0-10 years on Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota.  Items will be donated to organizations on the reservation that focus on education such as head start, elementary schools and daycare centers as well as those programs that have young adults with children that are pursuing their high school diploma or equivalent.  This group hopes to alleviate some of the stress parents experience when trying to find appropriate resources for their children in a place where very little exists.
